John Hund
John Hund has nearly 40 years of experience as a firefighter and fire officer, John joined MBI as an Associate in January of 2021.
John joined MBI after a distinguished career as a Nutley Fire Captain, and New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association (NJ FMBA) Delegate. He served on the FMBA Legislative Committee for many years, where he spent countless hours representing the FMBA in the halls of the statehouse. He was part of the team that helped to pass legislation that separated and moved the Police and Firemen’s Retirement System to the new model, which is under employee control. He also served as Editor of the monthly newspaper, the NJ FMBA BULLETIN, for over 20 years. After retiring from the fire department, John spent over six years working in the NJ FMBA State Office assisting the membership in various areas.
John also served 2 years on the legislative staff of NJ 36th Legislative District. John received his B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University
